Lou D’Onofrio
Title
Lou D’Onofrio graduated from SUNY Stony Brook with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Engineering Science. He also has a Master of Science degree in Management Engineering from LIU-CW Post, and he is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York State.
Lou has many years of industry experience in the power industry as an Engineer and Project Manager. As an Engineer in the Substation Department, he was responsible for diagnostic testing of equipment; quality inspections prior to shipment; and training of the technicians and engineers in the department. As a Project Manager, he was responsible for new substation installations and the interconnections for power generation facilities.
In 2016 Lou became a Senior Advisor for M.J. Beck Consulting LLC. He was on the team that provided support for the PSEGLI 280MW renewable portfolio. Lou was responsible for the Shoreham Solar Commons 24MW Solar facility, and the 20MW Riverhead Solar 1 Project in Calverton.
Lou is the 2019 IEEE Long Island Section Chair, and Vice-Chair of the LI Section Power and Energy Society. He is also Vice-President of the LI Chapter of the NYS Society of Professional Engineers.
